What began as a simple love for bows and flip flops has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined. When my daughter and I realized the creative talents we both shared, we decided to nurture them, sharpen them, and turn them into something meaningful. Every chance we had, we pushed ourselves to learn more, try more, and dream bigger.

Today, that dream has expanded into not just one business, but two. Growing up, I was always drawn to arts and crafts, but I never imagined it would one day become a business of my own. Life has a way of circling back to the things that bring you joy, and for me, that reminder came through my daughter, Makayla. She inherited the same passion for creativity, and watching her fall in love with crafting reignited that spark in me.

Entrepreneurship has always been in my spirit; I’ve always wanted to build something of my own. And Makayla? Well, she definitely gets that drive from her mother. That’s why our business name, M&A, means so much to us. It stands for Makayla and Angela, a mother-daughter duo built on creativity, faith, and determination.

Makayla’s journey started in 9th grade when she discovered a passion for making bows and flip flops for her cheer team. From that moment on, there was no stopping her. One idea led to another, and soon everything began falling into place. I’ll admit, I was hesitant at first about turning this into a real business, but looking back, it was all part of God’s plan.

As time went on, our ideas grew more advanced, our skills sharpened, and our vision expanded. What started as a small hobby transformed into a full custom design business. When Makayla went off to college, I kept M&A Boutique going, holding onto the dream we built together.

And now? We’re back as one stronger, more inspired, and better than ever.
